How the Program Works

All ImageFIRST medical lab coats are tagged with noninvasive UHF RFID chips as a part of The ID-360 Solution. We conduct 3 Scan Checkpoints so if the lab coats walk, we’ll know they did and so will you – and that’s it! The 3 Scan Checkpoints happen:

1. At your facility during our regular visit
2. When soiled apparel enters our plant, and
3. When clean apparel leaves our plant for delivery.

What is The ID-360 Solution? Using radio frequency identification (RFID), a form of wireless communication that uses radio waves to identify and track objects, this safe and proven technology allows for fast scanning of multiple items at once, providing accurate and real-time reporting. UHF stands for “Ultra High Frequency”, which is the latest in RFID technology.

The ‘Where’s My Lab Coat?’ Program

You work hard keeping your facility or department running smoothly and keeping your staff happy. The last thing you want to worry about is running out of lab coats or wondering whether you’ll have a clean coat on hand when your medical staff needs it.

That’s where the optional “Where’s My Lab Coat?” Program comes in.

This solution leverages the latest RFID technology for fast and accurate tracking of your lab coats, giving you automated communication throughout the laundering and delivery process. Here’s how it works:

1. All medical lab coats are discreetly tagged with RFID chips.
2. When your soiled lab coats are picked up by your Customer Advocate for laundering, they are scanned, and an email is sent to you detailing what was picked up.
3. The day before your next delivery, you will receive another email telling you how many lab coats will be delivered.

This program lets you know exactly what to expect and gives you time to alert your Customer Advocate if you believe you may not have enough clean lab coats upon delivery. By taking the logistics off your plate, we let you put your time and energy into what’s important: your patients.
